Iran team deliver 74-word statement on post-it note in World Cup dressing room after draw with Belgium
IRAN’s players and staff showed their class after their draw with Belgium with a thank-you note to the city of Los Angeles.
The City of Angels has hosted both of the Iranians‘ Group G games, which they’ve drawn.
Yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Belgium, whom they’re ABOVE in the table. kept their hopes of reaching the last 32 alive.
And as the Persians left their SoFi Stadium locker, they decided to convey their thanks to LA for hosting them with a handwritten note.
It read: “From the ancient Persia of thousands of years ago to the civilised Iran of today.
“The spirit of Iran remains alive and steadfast.
“We came to Los Angeles awith pride, competed with honour and leave with dignity.
“Thank you, Los Angeles for your hospitality.
“And thank you to every Iranian who gave their heart, voice and soul for Iran throughout these 180 minutes.
“May peace, respect and friendship prevail among all nations.”
