“MET GALA 2026 ‘WORST DRESSED’ SHOCKER EXPLODES ONLINE”: Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry Ignite Fierce Backlash With Bizarre Red Carpet Outfits, Turning Fashion’s Biggest Night Into a Viral Storm of Criticism and Divided Reactions

It is supposed to be fashion’s biggest night, but most of the attention-hungry stars at this year’s Met Gala failed miserably in the sartorial stakes.

Some celebrities had bizarre interpretations of this year’s dress code, Fashion is Art, which served as a more specific baseline for guests against the gala’s overall theme of Costume Art.

Many opted for a slew of awkward dresses and over-the-top outfits, while others, such as Sarah Paulson, even tried to make their looks a statement in social commentary.

Even the new Vogue editor, Chloe Malle, raised a few eyebrows for her ensemble.

From Kylie Jenner‘s nearly nude look to Katy Perry‘s alien-inspired outfit, the Daily Mail has rounded up the biggest fashion faux pas from the 2026 Met Gala.

Not her best Met look! Kylie Jenner stepped out in an intricate Schiaparelli gown, with a nude, curve-hugging corset top and a half-tied, cream-colored, bejeweled satin skirt. The back of the dress featured an undone look, and she paired it with a dramatic hairstyle, leaving just one strand around her eyes, chunky pearl earrings and a matching necklace
