Klay Thompson might have just recalled his clutch game while watching the recent Sky vs Wings game. Scenes at the College Park Center in Arlington were a bit tense. Following a humbling from Golden State Valkyries, the Dallas Wings team was in another tough situation, trailing by 17 points in the final quarter. Paige Bueckers made some clutch baskets, earning the 10th win of the season for the side.
But as per a few fans’ claims, he didn’t make it till the final whistle of the game. Not because of the close game, but the treatment given by the Dallas fan base.
One video claimed that in the arena, fans booed the Mavericks star for his breakup with Megan Thee Stallion. A few fans even claimed that the jockey in the building played Stallion’s song during a break. It’s important to note that Stallion is a Texas-based rapper, which makes the situation even more believable.
I’m at the Wings game why, they put the camera on Klay Thompson courtside and everybody booed 😭

“>But the WNBA post showing the former champion on the big screen didn’t show any boos. On the contrary, commentators even note that there is a “big round of applause” for the Mavs guard.

While there is still confusion over the reception Klay Thompson had during the game, the Wings team certainly provided huge excitement for the fans. The huge 36-point fourth quarter made the unthinkable possible for the Dallas team, and their star, Paige Bueckers, also couldn’t believe the performance from the team in the final 10 minutes.

With Alanna Smith out injured, Awak Kuier fouled out, the hosts were thin on the front-court options. But Li Yueru stepped up for the team and even hit clutch free throws to complete the victory. Paige Bueckers had 19 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, and made only one three-pointer in the fourth quarter that handed her side the momentum in the game.
“I don’t have words…I can’t believe we just won that game,” Bueckers told the media in the on-court interview.

While the Dallas team enjoyed the victory, the Sky team members were furious over the officiating. Natasha Cloud even lost her temper and smashed the fencing on her way to the tunnel. Whether Klay Thompson was present for the final whistle is still a mystery, but if he really missed it, that’s bad luck for the sharp shooter.
